Announced at Pitti Uomo 2019, special guest Givenchy revealed its exclusive collaboration with the Japanese sneaker brand for an all-new take on the iconic "Mexico 66". 

At this year&#39;s Pitti Uomo, special guest and luxury fashion house Givenchy took to the runway to reveal their exclusive collaboration with Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger, marking a first for both global brands with this partnership.&nbsp;

Givenchy&#39;s Artistic Director, Clare&nbsp;Waight Keller, who was also debuting&nbsp;her first standalone menswear show at the event, saw this as the perfect opportunity to showcase her monochromatic reinterpretations of the iconic shoe, integrating them into her overall vision of the fashion show.

Onitsuka Tiger, which turns 70 this year, is one of the oldest shoe manufacturers in Japan and has made&nbsp;a reliable name for itself over the years with its one-of-a-kind&nbsp;blend of old-school heritage&nbsp;and modern functionality in both&nbsp;sports shoes and apparels. And the collaboration couldn&#39;t have been any more significant this year, as&nbsp;Keller has also been a longtime fan of the Japanese brand&nbsp;and personally wears the signature &quot;Mexico 66&quot; model-&nbsp;a style that has been popularized in streetwear around the world.&nbsp;

As glimpsed on the runway,&nbsp;the Givenchy x Onitsuka Tiger collaboration is&nbsp;named&nbsp;&ldquo;Mexico&nbsp;66&nbsp;GDX&rdquo;, featuring&nbsp;two variations of&nbsp;the Onitsuka Tiger heritage&nbsp;icon&nbsp;&quot;Mexico 66&quot;. The first variation&nbsp;is&nbsp;an all-white shoe with&nbsp;the brandʼs signature ʻOnitsuka Tiger stripeʼ lines and ʻGivenchyʼ lettering, and the second being&nbsp;a black version&nbsp;with the&nbsp;signature Givenchy details in red and white.&nbsp;Both styles bear a back tab with the dual&nbsp;inscription of both brands.&nbsp;

Following the announcement, both versions of the shoes, for men and women, will be available&nbsp;for purchase at the Givenchy Paragon store and online through <a href="http://givenchy.com">givenchy.com</a> and selected social media from 13 June, and retails for S$850.&nbsp;
