The Capitoline Museum, one of the &quot;Seven Hills&quot; of the Eternal City, houses a collection of art and archaeology museums and holds a special place in Alessandro Michele&#39;s heart. Bringing the Gucci cruise 2020 collection over was an unarguable&nbsp;choice as the collection was inspired by ancient Rome and its political scene. Guests were given a package that contained an ancient book with a quote that read, &quot;Only pagan antiquity awakened my desire, because it was the world of before, because it was an abolished world,&quot; by French historian and archeologist, Paul Veyne.

Alessandro Michele isn&#39;t shy about his opinions.&nbsp;The collection revolves around the freedom of choice, seeing extravagant pieces adorned with&nbsp;&#39;My Body My Choice&#39;&nbsp;and&nbsp;&ldquo;May 22, 1978,&rdquo; the date when abortion was legalized in Italy. &ldquo;The news I recently read in the newspaper made me reflect on the fact that women have to be respected. They should be considered as some men consider themselves,&rdquo; Michele said. &ldquo;They should be free to choose what they want. Terminating pregnancy is not going to uproot the flower that&rsquo;s found in the womb of every woman. Choices are sometimes difficult in life. It&rsquo;s the most difficult choice for a woman and I respect that choice.&rdquo;Beyond the slogans, an image of the female reproductive system&nbsp;was embroidered on a pleated sundress - emphasizing the collection&#39;s motives.&nbsp;

Every Gucci cruise show, there is a musical legend to end it with a bang.&nbsp;After Elton John attended the show last year in Arles as a musical guest, Harry Styles and Stevie Nicks joined forces to pay tribute to Tom Petty with a cover of her duet with the late Heartbreakers frontman, &ldquo;Stop Draggin&rsquo; My Heart Around&quot; at the after-party.&nbsp;With 24.2 million Instagram followers, Harry Styles is Alessandro Michele&#39;s &quot;partner-in-crime&quot; at the Met Gala 2019 and has been the face of Gucci&#39;s tailoring campaign for the second time in a row.&nbsp;
