Imagined by Veronica Leoni, the latest drop in the Genius lineup proposes urban uniforms for a fictional army of women on a quest for a lost paradise 

Since its inception, Moncler&rsquo;s groundbreaking <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/jw-anderson-joins-the-moncler-genius-lineup-for-2020">Genius project</a> has attested to the notion that collaboration, not competition, is the key to real innovation &mdash; summed up in the motto, &ldquo;One House, Different Voices&rdquo;. Nowhere is this spirit more evident than in 2 Moncler 1952, where design duties are split and shared between two creatives, with Sergio Zambon tackling menswear and Veronica Leoni guiding a playful but powerful vision for women.

Unveiled during Milan Fashion Week this past February, Leoni&rsquo;s third outing for the Franco-Italian brand arises from her imagining a wardrobe for an army of women fighting to return to a lost paradise. Imbued with a decidedly feminine flair, the collection harks back to the exoticism that marked the turn of the 20th century, merging the utilitarian with the languid in a manner evocative of elegance and decadence as well as empowerment.

Moncler&rsquo;s signature puffer is revisited in a series of exaggerated jackets that play with balloon silhouettes and kimono elements, while belted greatcoats lean towards sharp tailoring. Edwardian devor&eacute; skirts, mohair and chenille sweaters, and form-fitting knits offer plenty opportunity for layering shapes, textures, and lengths.

A neutral palette of black, tan, chocolate, and navy nods to military uniforms, while flashes of fiery red, thulian pink, and sky blue add a counterbalance of levity. Accessories consist of chunky-soled boots with chain details, oversized bangles, padded headscarves, and tubular bags in nappa leather or nylon.
