Returning to Ireland for his first runway show in the country is a full-circle moment.

The collection will be presented at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland's oldest university, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. For more than four centuries, the university has been at the heart of Irish intellectual and cultural life, counting Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, Bram Stoker and Jonathan Swift among its famous alumni.
The show will centre around the university's historic Old Library, home to the world-famous Book of Kells and the breathtaking Long Room. Stretching more than 60 metres, the eighteenth-century gallery is widely regarded as one of the world's most beautiful libraries. More than a striking venue, it represents a place where history, knowledge and imagination come together, making it a fitting setting for Anderson's thoughtful approach to design.

Why did Dior choose Trinity College Dublin?

Jonathan Anderson has developed a clear approach to selecting venues for Dior's shows. Each location is chosen not simply for its visual impact, but for the story it can help tell.
In Paris, the Musée Nissim de Camondo provided an intimate setting that reflected themes of memory and domestic life for Dior's menswear collections. At the Musée Rodin, Anderson transformed the gardens into an almost elemental landscape, exploring the relationship between nature, craftsmanship and the human body.
His work also extends beyond the runway. Through exhibitions and collaborations with museums, Anderson has consistently explored the connection between fashion, art and cultural institutions.
Trinity College Dublin continues that vision. Rather than relying on an instantly recognisable landmark, Dior has chosen a place of learning and reflection, where centuries of history naturally meet contemporary creativity. The venue reinforces Anderson's belief that a fashion show should create a meaningful dialogue with its surroundings, rather than simply delivering an impressive spectacle.
The choice of Dublin also carries a symbolic link to Dior's own history. The city was the birthplace of Carmel Snow, the legendary editor of Harper's Bazaar America. After attending Christian Dior's debut collection in February 1947, she coined the phrase "New Look", forever changing the language of fashion. Nearly 80 years later, Dior returns to the city connected to one of the defining moments in the Maison's history.
